The 2026 edition of the 10 Km International by WeCasablanca brought together more than 16,000 runners in Casablanca, showcasing a high-level international road race atmosphere. The event was marked by strong performances from both Moroccan and Ethiopian athletes.

In the men’s category, Moroccan runner Ouladha Hicham claimed first place with an impressive time of 27 minutes and 59 seconds. He was closely followed by his compatriot Yassine El Allami, who finished second in 28 minutes, while Ethiopia’s Biniyam Melak secured third place with a time of 28 minutes and 02 seconds.

In the women’s race, Ethiopia’s Chane Fentaya Adane took victory with a time of 31 minutes. She was followed by Morocco’s Birdaha Fatima Al Zahra, who finished second in 31 minutes and 06 seconds, while another Ethiopian athlete, Kassie Wubrist Aschal, completed the podium in the same time.

Winners and participants praised the organization of the event, highlighting the efforts made to ensure smooth logistics and professional race conditions. They also noted that weather conditions, following recent rainfall, added an extra challenge to the competition.

According to the organizers, the race featured participants from 63 different nationalities, reinforcing its growing international reputation. The event started at 8:30 a.m. from Boulevard Al Massira and passed through key landmarks of Casablanca, including Boulevard d’Anfa and the Corniche.

Organizers emphasized their ambition to further improve performance standards in future editions, aiming to break the 27-minute barrier in the men’s 10 km race. The event was supported by more than 200 professional judges and 400 volunteers to ensure smooth execution.
