Prince Harry is reportedly considering the creation of a new charity following a public dispute that led to his departure from Sentebale, the organization he co-founded in 2006.

The Duke of Sussex faced criticism from the Charity Commission for allowing the conflict with Sentebale’s chair, Dr. Sophie Chandauka, to become public. The dispute saw Harry stepping down as patron in March after several trustees resigned in protest against the board chair, who had previously accused him of bullying and harassment.

Sentebale focuses on supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Lesotho and Botswana, particularly those affected by HIV and AIDS. Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, who also co-founded the charity alongside Harry in honor of Princess Diana, has also stepped down as patron.

Sources close to Prince Harry suggest he remains deeply committed to the cause and is exploring how best to continue supporting the region, whether by founding a new charity or working with existing organizations.

A spokesperson for Harry stated: “He remains absolutely committed to the work he began nearly 20 years ago supporting children and young people in Lesotho and Botswana. No decisions have been made regarding the form this support will take.”

The Charity Commission found no evidence of systemic bullying within Sentebale but acknowledged the perception of mistreatment among some involved. Trustees who resigned expressed serious concerns about the charity’s future and leadership.

Sentebale clarified that the Charity Commission does not mediate internal disputes and that no individual allegations were investigated or judged.
