Renowned Moroccan actor Mohamed Choubi passes away at 62
Mohamed Choubi, a prominent Moroccan actor, passed away on the morning of Friday, May 2, 2025, at the age of 62, following a prolonged battle with illness. Artist Latifa Ahrar confirmed to SNRTnews that Choubi passed away in the early hours of that Friday morning at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment.
Choubi had been urgently transferred to the military hospital in Rabat due to a worsening of his health condition. He had been suffering from a severe liver disease that required intensive care.
A key figure in the Moroccan artistic community, Mohamed Choubi leaves behind a rich legacy of theater, television, and film works that have profoundly impacted audiences.
