Rising Moroccan talent Abdellah Ouazane joins Real Madrid
Real Madrid continues its ambitious strategy of recruiting young, promising talents worldwide. Their latest signing is Abdellah Ouazane, a 16-year-old Moroccan winger who arrives on a free transfer from Ajax Amsterdam, where he stood out in the youth teams over recent seasons.
Having scored 18 goals this season the highest across all age groups at Ajax Ouazane embodies the profile Real Madrid seeks: fast, technically skilled, strong in one-on-one situations, with a sharp finishing ability. He has also been called up several times to Morocco’s youth national teams, underscoring his commitment to his country.
Ouazane will join Madrid in July to begin preseason preparations under coach Xabi Alonso. Initially, he will play for Real Madrid Castilla, led by Álvaro Arbeloa, who knows the club’s youth system intimately.
The club aims to follow the successful path taken by players like Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, and Fede Valverde, who developed in the reserve squad while gradually integrating into the first team training sessions. This proven model could soon include Ouazane if he maintains his current progress.
This transfer highlights the growing recognition of Moroccan football’s potential, which has become a significant source of talent for Europe’s top clubs. Abdellah Ouazane stands out as one of the most promising faces of this emerging generation.
