Royal Air Maroc launches special flights to Monterrey for Lions de l'Atlas supporters
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is mobilizing an exceptional airlift to enable Moroccan supporters to follow the Lions of the Atlas during the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. Following the national team's qualification, the airline announced a special program that includes 12 additional flights between Casablanca and Monterrey, Mexico.
This unprecedented operation plans six outbound flights from Casablanca between Saturday and the following Monday, as well as six return flights scheduled between Tuesday and Thursday of the following week. In total, over 3,000 seats will be available for supporters wishing to accompany the national team in this new stage of the competition.
The initiative is historically significant for the national airline, which will serve Monterrey for the first time and, more broadly, Mexico. The connections will be non-stop, utilizing state-of-the-art wide-body aircraft, offering an estimated flight time of about 11 hours each way.
To make this trip accessible to as many people as possible, Royal Air Maroc is offering a flat rate of 10,000 dirhams for a round-trip ticket in economy class. This offer, which is non-changeable and non-refundable, has been specifically designed to meet the high demand expected following the Lions of the Atlas' qualification.
The airline reminds travelers that access to Mexican territory remains subject to current entry regulations. Travelers must have a valid Mexican visa or, alternatively, a valid visa issued by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or a Schengen Area member state, in accordance with the provisions of the Mexican authorities.
Tickets have been on sale since Thursday at 6 PM at Royal Air Maroc commercial agencies in Morocco as well as on the dedicated digital platform set up for this operation.
By deploying this exceptional air bridge, Royal Air Maroc confirms its commitment to supporting major national sporting events and facilitating travel for Moroccan supporters, whose presence is expected in large numbers in the stands of Monterrey to support the Lions of the Atlas.
