Russian drone strikes kill two in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian drone attacks killed two civilians and left one injured in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, according to local authorities.
“Unfortunately, two people — a man and a woman — lost their lives,” said Sergiy Lysak, head of the regional military administration, adding that another woman was injured. Ukrainian forces reported that they had shot down eight Russian drones during the assault.
The attack highlights the intensifying pressure on central and eastern Ukraine. Earlier this week, Kyiv acknowledged for the first time that Russian troops had entered the Dnipropetrovsk region, a claim Moscow had already advanced since July.
As the conflict continues, the region remains a strategic target, given its industrial importance and its location linking the east of the country with the rest of Ukraine.
