Seattle Seahawks defeat New England Patriots to win super bowl
The Seattle Seahawks claimed their second Super Bowl title after a convincing 29–13 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Relying on a dominant defensive performance, Seattle gradually took control of the game, which remained tightly contested in the first half before opening up after the break. The Seahawks successfully neutralized the Patriots’ offense, limiting their scoring opportunities and asserting their physical presence throughout the second half.
This triumph marks Seattle’s first Super Bowl appearance since their loss to New England in the 2015 final. By lifting the trophy once again, the franchise adds a new chapter to its history, following its first championship win in 2014.
The Patriots, who were aiming for a record seventh Super Bowl title after a difficult rebuilding period, were unable to keep pace. Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold delivered a solid performance, throwing a touchdown pass, while kicker Jason Myers played a decisive role by converting five field goals, setting a Super Bowl record.
The halftime show, led by Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, drew widespread attention for its energetic performance and message of unity across the Americas, adding a cultural dimension to one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year.
