Sidi Slimane aims to position itself on the regional Industrial map
Situated just around 60 kilometers from the rapidly expanding industrial hub of Kénitra, Sidi Slimane is setting its sights on becoming a key player in the regional economic landscape. The city is preparing to launch a comprehensive feasibility study, both technical and financial, with the aim of creating an integrated business zone designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as subcontracting services for industrial businesses.
This ambitious project is expected to cover an area of approximately 4.25 hectares and will be led by the local municipal council of Sidi Slimane. The goal is to strengthen the local economy by better integrating it into the regional, national, and international value chains. The integrated business zone will provide targeted support to the SME sector, which plays a crucial role in driving economic growth in the region.
The project aims to respond to the concrete needs of investors and offers a sustainable and coherent development tool for the province of Sidi Slimane. With this initiative, the city hopes to align itself with the economic expansion of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and become a key destination for new investments and industrial activities.
Sidi Slimane's development ambitions are strategically timed to capitalize on the growth momentum of Kénitra, a city that has already attracted significant industrial investments in recent years. By offering a well-equipped, integrated industrial zone, Sidi Slimane plans to leverage this proximity to Kénitra’s growth and further enhance its local economy.
The project is also in line with the broader national vision to foster industrial growth and innovation across Morocco, particularly in regions that have the potential to develop as new industrial hubs. As Sidi Slimane works to establish itself as a regional economic platform, the integrated business zone is expected to become a cornerstone of the city's future industrial ecosystem.
