South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron found dead in Seoul home
Kim Sae-ron, a South Korean actress known for her breakthrough role in "The Man from Nowhere," was found deceased at her residence in Seoul's Seongdong-gu district on Sunday. A friend, who was scheduled to meet with the 24-year-old actress, discovered her unresponsive and alerted police authorities at approximately 4:50 PM.
Local law enforcement officials have reported no signs of forced entry or criminal activity at the scene. An investigation is currently underway to determine the precise cause of death, with authorities withholding additional details at this time.
Kim began her acting career in 2009 at the age of nine. Her performance in the 2010 action film "The Man from Nowhere" marked her rise to prominence, followed by a notable role in the 2012 thriller "The Neighbor." Her final screen appearance was in the 2023 series "Bloodhounds."
The actress's career encountered setbacks following a drunk driving incident in May 2022. In April 2023, she received a fine of 20 million won (approximately $13,850) from a court ruling related to the incident.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death are ongoing.
