Sweden pledges €7.3 Billion military aid to Ukraine for 2026-2027
Stockholm/Kiev, September 11, 2025 – The Swedish government announced on Thursday a military aid package for Ukraine worth 80 billion kronor (€7.3 billion) over the next two years, covering 2026 and 2027.
Sweden’s Defense Minister, Pål Jonson, emphasized the continuity of the support during a press conference, stating: “We underline the sustainable nature of our support to Kiev.”
The aid aims to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the announcement, describing it as a crucial step in reinforcing Ukraine’s security and military resilience.
This commitment reflects Sweden’s continued role in supporting European security and assisting Ukraine in maintaining its sovereignty in the face of external threats.
