The Best FIFA 2025: Achraf Hakimi named in the world XI, Dembélé crowned best player
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has been selected in the FIFA World XI for the 2024–2025 season during the “The Best” awards ceremony, held on Tuesday in Doha. The Paris Saint-Germain right-back was recognized among the eleven best players of the season, confirming his status as one of the world’s top defenders.
PSG, crowned European champions, dominated the World XI with five players included. Alongside Hakimi, defenders William Pacho and Nuno Mendes, midfielder Vitinha, and French forward Ousmane Dembélé featured in the lineup. Dembélé was also named Best Men’s Player of the Year for 2025.
The team of the year also included goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, defender Virgil van Dijk, and midfielders Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Pedri, and Lamine Yamal, reflecting a balance between experience and emerging talent.
PSG coach Luis Enrique was awarded Best Coach of the Year, while Donnarumma received the prize for Best Goalkeeper. The ceremony also honored achievements across men’s and women’s football, highlighting outstanding performances, fair play, and fan support worldwide.
