Yassine Bounou wins Best Save Award in Saudi Pro League
Yassine Bounou has been awarded the Best Save of the Week in the Saudi Pro League following his remarkable performance during the match between Al-Hilal and Al-Fateh on matchday 15. The league confirmed that Bounou, the goalkeeper for the Atlas Lions, made the most impressive save of the round by expertly stopping a dangerous shot from Amin Sebai, a player from Al-Fateh.
This exceptional save contributed to Bounou’s achievement of a second consecutive clean sheet in the Saudi Pro League, further solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s top goalkeepers. He surpassed other notable keepers, including Abdullah Al-Mayouf from Al-Shabab and Ibrahim Sehic from Al-Khaleej, in the running for this prestigious award.
Since joining Al-Hilal last summer, Bounou has played 21 matches across all competitions, conceding 20 goals and keeping a clean sheet in 7 of those games. His stellar performances have played a significant role in Al-Hilal’s successes, which include winning the Saudi Pro League, the King’s Cup, and the Diriyah Cup twice in the Saudi Super Cup.
