Youth empowerment through Youth Card project agreement

The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and Bank Al-Maghrib have entered into a partnership to offer young people exclusive benefits under the “Youth Card” project. The agreement was signed on Friday in Rabat during the 30th International Book and Publishing Fair, held at the Bank Al-Maghrib pavilion. The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, and Bank Al-Maghrib Governor, Abdellatif Jouahri.

This collaboration is designed to provide young people with enhanced access to cultural experiences, offer insights into the history of the national currency, and improve financial literacy. The “Youth Card” holders will benefit from free admission to Bank Al-Maghrib’s museums and discounts on books and products in the museum stores. Additionally, Bank Al-Maghrib will support the promotional efforts for the project across its various museum spaces.

The partnership is part of the national “Youth Card” program, which seeks to foster both financial and cultural inclusion for youth, offering them broader opportunities for education and training. Minister Bensaid highlighted that this initiative is a crucial step toward helping more young people enter the job market. He praised Bank Al-Maghrib’s involvement in supporting youth development and preparing them for employment challenges.

Governor Jouahri emphasized that Bank Al-Maghrib is making its resources, including museums and documentation centers, available to young people, viewing the initiative as a long-term investment in the nation’s future. The agreement also expands cooperation through the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education, which aims to further promote financial services and training for youth, women, and rural communities.

The “Youth Card,” available digitally through an app, targets young people aged 16 to 30. It serves as a platform for discovering cultural, educational, social, and professional opportunities, supporting youth integration, mobility, and engagement in cultural activities.
