Duke Buchan III appointed U.S. ambassador to Morocco

In a significant diplomatic move, President Donald Trump has officially appointed Duke Buchan III as the new U.S. ambassador to Morocco. Announced on Friday evening, Trump's statement emphasized Buchan's pivotal role in enhancing the peace, freedom, and prosperity shared between the two nations.

"I am pleased to announce that Duke Buchan III will serve as the U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco," Trump shared on his social media platform, Truth Social. He further reiterated the importance of Buchan's mission, stating, "Duke will play a key role as we strengthen peace, freedom, and prosperity for our two countries."

Buchan brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the U.S. ambassador to Spain and Andorra from 2017 to 2021. Born in North Carolina in 1963, he has built an impressive career in finance and investments. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with a master's degree from Harvard Business School. His academic journey also includes studies at the University of Valencia and the University of Seville in Spain.

As Buchan steps into this important position, both nations look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead under his leadership.
