ONMT's strategic roadshow highlights Morocco's tourism potential in North America
The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) is embarking on a dynamic roadshow across North America, with stops in Toronto, Boston, and Chicago from April 7 to 10. This initiative aims to spotlight Morocco for tourism professionals in Canada and the United States.
During the roadshow, a series of immersive workshops will showcase an inspiring and inviting vision of Morocco to influential tour operators and travel agents in these major cities. The objective is clear: to transform curiosity into desire and desire into business. This event promises to be more than just presentations; it will be an immersive experience that captures the essence of Morocco.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with Morocco's rich atmosphere, cuisine, hospitality, craftsmanship, and culture. Each aspect will be designed to evoke emotions and ignite interest in this captivating destination.
The roadshow will also feature targeted business meetings. Moroccan hoteliers, Destination Management Companies, and operators will connect with their North American counterparts to discuss market expectations and forge new partnerships. A strong press relations component will ensure that news about Morocco reaches beyond the professional sphere, engaging opinion leaders, influencers, journalists, and local stakeholders.
These press activities aim to position Morocco as a must-visit destination among both specialized and mainstream North American media, thereby enhancing its presence in a market with significant growth potential.
This roadshow comes at a pivotal time, aligning with strategic routes launched by ONMT in North America, including direct flights from Montreal to Marrakech with Air Transat, New York to Marrakech with United Airlines, and recently from Atlanta to Marrakech with Delta Airlines.
These new routes complement existing services by Royal Air Maroc, connecting Casablanca with New York, Washington, Miami, and Montreal. This expanding network is designed to capture a growing influx of tourists and solidify Morocco's status as an attractive and accessible destination for North American travelers.
With this roadshow, ONMT reaffirms its ambition to position Morocco as a key player in the North American tourism landscape. This initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at attracting attention from high-value markets.
