Wydad-Raja derby: key details on match organization
As the much-anticipated Casablanca derby between Raja and Wydad approaches, set for Saturday, April 12, at the Mohammed V Sports Complex, the Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) has outlined several important organizational aspects.
Wydad announced in a statement on Monday that the match will be organized jointly by both clubs. Financial proceeds will be shared equally, along with the distribution of tickets, which will be allocated fairly between supporters of both teams.
The statement also notes that each club will be responsible for managing their respective supporters in the designated stands. Additionally, season ticket holders are encouraged to contact the ticketing company to secure a complimentary seat for the match.
In preparation for this significant sporting event, a high-level delegation visited the Mohammed V Complex on Sunday morning to inspect the progress of ongoing work and ensure the proper implementation of technical and logistical arrangements.
This delegation included Mohamed Mhidia, the wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, officials from the National Agency for Public Equipment (ANEP), Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), and the presidents of both clubs.
During the visit, Lekjaa emphasized that all stakeholders are coordinating efforts to ensure a safe return of the public under ideal conditions. He also highlighted the collective commitment to provide an atmosphere befitting the stature of the Casablanca derby.
