DGSN announces strategic appointments to enhance national security

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) is advancing its modernization efforts and skill enhancement. Recently, it unveiled a series of appointments to key positions within various police services at both central and local levels, affecting cities such as Rabat, Khouribga, Fès, Meknès, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Laâyoune, and Souk Sebt Oulad Nemma.

These appointments, approved by DGSN Director General Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, encompass 11 strategic roles across public safety, general intelligence, and judicial police. Among the new appointees are a head of service within the sporting events security department, a new general intelligence officer in Meknès, and two brigade leaders in Marrakech and Khouribga.

Additionally, the wave of appointments includes newly assigned heads of police districts in Souk Sebt and Laâyoune, a traffic brigade chief in Ouarzazate, and officials tasked with public order management in Fès, particularly within the sensitive infrastructure protection unit.

In its commitment to continuity and performance, the DGSN emphasizes that these selections were made based on rigorous criteria: integrity, expertise, and field experience. The aim is to enhance the implementation of the national security strategy, which revolves around three major axes: bolstering the sense of security, improving the quality of services provided to citizens, and increasing transparency and openness within security institutions.

This initiative underscores the DGSN's determination to invest in a new generation of leaders, trained to tackle contemporary security challenges and capable of responding to social and technological changes.
