Hammouchi Announces New Appointments to Senior Positions

The General Directorate of National Security has announced a series of new appointments to senior positions in various decentralized national security services across several cities, including Al Hoceima, Laayoune, and Nador.

These new roles, approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, involve four new police positions in the regional security services of Al Hoceima. Among these are the appointment of a deputy commander for the mobile group responsible for maintaining order, as well as a commander for one of its units. Additionally, a new head of the judicial police unit has been appointed in the Imzouren security district, and a permanent head for a unit within the regional general intelligence service in Al Hoceima has been named.

The list also includes the appointment of a head of the urban authority for the Beni Ansar Regional Security Commission in Nador and the placement of a medical cadre to lead the provincial health service in the Laayoune Security District.

These changes are part of an ongoing effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force. By rotating responsibilities and appointing highly trained and qualified personnel, the goal is to enhance citizen security and safeguard property. This initiative is aimed at ensuring the smooth implementation of action plans designed to maintain public safety.

Earlier this year, another major reshuffle included 23 senior appointments across decentralized national security services in several cities. One notable change involved a restructuring of the Casablanca Security District, which saw the appointment of the head of the regional security district in Mohammedia to lead the Rahma Security District, with the former head of Rahma taking over a new position.
