Brahim Díaz remains at Real Madrid despite signing of Franco Mastantuono
Xabi Alonso has assured Brahim Díaz that he will not be leaving the club this season. The new manager communicated directly to Díaz that he is an integral part of the team's plans, despite the recent signing of 17-year-old Argentine talent Franco Mastantuono.
Mastantuono has gained attention in Argentina, notably after scoring in the Superclásico against Boca Juniors. With his speed and versatility, he can play effectively on the wing or in central positions. However, his arrival sparked speculation about Díaz's future at the club.
Alonso has made it clear that Díaz will remain with the team. He personally reassured the Moroccan international of his value and trust, emphasizing that Díaz will have opportunities to contribute this season. Real Madrid had also considered signing Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, but Alonso opted against it, citing a preference for Díaz’s style and work ethic.
Despite continued interest in Díaz from clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, who see him as a potential replacement for Florian Wirtz, who recently moved to Liverpool, Madrid has yet to receive a formal offer.
For now, Díaz is focused on his role at Madrid. He has already demonstrated his ability to compete for a spot in the lineup and impress when given the opportunity. With Alonso's support and the club's strategy of blending youth with experience, Díaz appears poised for a significant season.
