Illa to sign agreement with unions and employers on credit supplements
Salvador Illa, President of the Generalitat of Catalonia, will meet on Monday, June 2 at noon with major unions and employer organizations at the Palau de la Generalitat to formalize an agreement concerning credit supplements. This pact has been negotiated by the Catalan government alongside ERC and the Comuns.
During the meeting, which was first reported by Catalunya Ràdio, economic stakeholders will publicly express their support for a €4 billion injection into the Generalitat’s extended budget. This funding is part of three decrees secured by Illa and his coalition partners. The Catalan Parliament has already approved the first two decrees, while the third is set to be voted on next week.
According to a government statement, attendees will include Josep Sánchez Llibre, president of Foment del Treball, Antoni Cañete from PIMEC, Belén López, general secretary of CCOO in Catalonia, and Camil Ros, general secretary of UGT Catalunya. Illa will be accompanied by Economy Minister Alícia Romero and Minister of Business and Labor Miquel Sàmper.
