Agadir launches eco-friendly police patrols to boost coastal security
Morocco's National Police (DGSN) has introduced bicycle patrol units in Agadir as part of its initiative to enhance safety along the city's popular coastline. The specialized units aim to strengthen preventive security measures and improve the sense of safety for both residents and tourists in the coastal city.
The newly deployed units comprise qualified police officers who have undergone specialized training in bicycle patrol techniques and emergency response protocols. These officers are equipped with purpose-built gear specifically designed for bicycle-based interventions.
Operating primarily along Agadir's coastline, these patrol units will maintain a visible and easily accessible police presence in high-traffic tourist areas. The introduction of bicycle patrols represents a key component of DGSN's comprehensive modernization efforts, which focus on diversifying law enforcement methods to address varying operational requirements across different urban environments.
