Moroccan healthcare group Akdital has announced that shareholders will meet during an Ordinary General Assembly scheduled for June 19 in Casablanca to discuss several governance-related resolutions, including the appointment of new board members.

According to the company, the board of directors has proposed the cooptation of several new administrators whose mandates would continue until the general assembly approving the financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2027.

The proposed members include Fatima Lasiri, Mohamed Hassad, Saad Bendidi, Hatim Ben Ahmed, and Ahmed Akdim. The company also stated that Fatima Lasiri and Mohamed Hassad are expected to serve as independent directors in accordance with regulations governing companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

The appointments come as Akdital continues expanding its position within Morocco’s private healthcare sector, which has experienced significant growth in recent years through investments in hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical services.

Corporate governance experts note that the inclusion of independent board members is increasingly viewed as an important step toward improving transparency, investor confidence, and strategic oversight within publicly traded companies.
