Atlas Lions Gear Up for Tanzania Challenge
The Atlas Lions are gearing up for a challenging match against Tanzania tomorrow, as emphasized by coach Walid Regragui during a press conference today.
Regragui acknowledged that the upcoming game won't be a walk in the park, considering Tanzania's "exceptional motivation" to face the visitors. While the coach has not finalized his lineup due to several key players nursing injuries, he asserted that the team is well-prepared for the upcoming clash.
"The road to the 2026 World Cup is long. Tomorrow marks our first step – our goal is to start the qualifiers strongly and maintain that momentum," he stated.
Regragui cautioned against underestimating Tanzania, emphasizing that "football has evolved, and there are no easy games anymore." Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that the Atlas Lions are fully aware of the match's significance and are ready to make Morocco proud.
The coach also spoke about the warm reception the team received since arriving in Dar es Salaam, praising Tanzania's hospitality.
With their eyes on the prize and fans rallying behind them, the Atlas Lions appear poised to kick off their World Cup qualifying campaign on a winning note against the spirited hosts.
