The Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization has announced a national march in Rabat on Sunday, October 5, to stand in solidarity with Gaza amidst ongoing atrocities. The event, set to take place at Imarat Al-Saada on Mohammed V Avenue at 10 a.m., will commemorate the second anniversary of the Al-Aqsa flood while condemning genocide, starvation, and the displacement of Palestinians.

Since October 2023, Israel’s military campaign has resulted in over 64,871 deaths, predominantly women and children, with 164,610 others injured. Tens of thousands remain trapped under debris, inaccessible to rescuers.

Morocco has emerged as a hub of solidarity, hosting over 10,400 protests, marches, and sit-ins to support Gaza. Of these, 9,820 were sit-ins, and 660 were marches, reflecting the nation's unified stance. The Moroccan Committee for the Support of Ummah’s Causes criticized weak responses from some Arab and Muslim nations, urging stronger action.

Protesters across Morocco have called for an immediate ceasefire and demanded decisive government measures against Israel.

Meanwhile, Qatar is hosting an Arab-Islamic summit following Israel’s unprecedented strike on Doha on September 9. Officials have indicated that the summit will focus on measures beyond condemnation, potentially issuing a resolution against the attack.

The national march in Rabat is expected to draw significant turnout, underscoring Morocco’s enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause.
