Aesthetic Medicine: Morocco Embraces a Global Trend
Aesthetic medicine is experiencing rapid growth worldwide, and Morocco is no exception. Moroccan women, in particular, are increasingly embracing these techniques, especially non-invasive procedures that offer natural-looking results with minimal downtime. However, vigilance is crucial to prevent illegal practices that can lead to serious complications.
Globally, the aesthetic medicine market reached $19.3 billion in 2023, with projections expecting continuous growth to exceed $30 billion by 2028. This trend is also reflected in Morocco, where there is growing demand for procedures such as botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid injections, anti-aging treatments, laser hair removal, and other aesthetic interventions.
Non-invasive treatments like Emface and Exion, which use electromagnetic energy, radiofrequency, or ultrasound, are gaining popularity due to their effectiveness, safety, and minimal invasiveness. These techniques improve skin quality, lift the face, and treat alopecia without surgery or injections.

Morocco Ranks Among Top Eight Global Beneficiaries of Renewable Energy Investments
Morocco continues its successful energy transition, now ranking eighth globally in terms of financial flows in renewable energies, with a total of $6.2 billion attracted between 2010 and 2021, according to a report by the International Renewable Energy Agency. These substantial investments have primarily focused on solar and wind development, two pillars of the national energy strategy.
This remarkable performance places Morocco among the 23 countries concentrating 80% of global financial flows dedicated to renewable energies. India, Pakistan, Brazil, and Mexico lead this ranking, reflecting global enthusiasm for clean and sustainable energy sources.
Buoyed by this momentum, Morocco aims even higher for the future. The Kingdom plans to increase its renewable energy production capacity by an additional 6.5 GW within the next four years, reaching a total of 20 GW. This ambitious strategy is accompanied by parallel investments in green gas and hydrogen, promising vectors of a successful energy transition.
