Hajj 2025 Eid al-Adha Celebrated in Saudi Arabia on June 6 Arafat Gathering on June 5
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has declared that the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah in the current Hijri year falls on Wednesday, May 28. Consequently, the Eid al-Adha festival will be observed on Friday, June 6, within the kingdom.
The Day of Arafat gathering is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, according to an official statement issued after a meeting held on Tuesday evening.
Saudi Minister of Hajj, Tawfiq Al Rabiah, emphasized that preparations for the pilgrimage season started early. The ministry had already sent necessary documents to all offices responsible for pilgrim affairs as well as representatives of the relevant countries.
He noted that approximately 78 preparatory meetings were held to enhance coordination among all parties involved, shared during a press conference in Riyadh.
Moreover, the "Nusuk" card system was updated and issued with over 1.4 million copies for pilgrims and staff, incorporating their medical and accommodation details, the minister confirmed.
