King Mohammed VI Champions Healthcare Access and Solidarity Initiatives
In a resounding display of his enduring dedication to bolstering national healthcare services, His Majesty King Mohammed VI laid the foundation stone for the Lissasfa Neighborhood Medical Center and inaugurated the second phase of the Connected Mobile Medical Units program. Both initiatives, led by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, were unveiled in the Hay Hassani district of Casablanca, underscoring the Monarch's steadfast vision to enhance medical care accessibility for all Moroccans, especially those in remote rural areas.
The forthcoming Lissasfa Neighborhood Medical Center, a 90 million dirham investment, stands as the third facility of its kind in the Casablanca-Settat region, complementing counterparts in Sidi Moumen and the newly established city of Errahma. Positioned as a bridge between primary healthcare centers and hospitals, this cutting-edge medical hub is poised to annually serve nearly 60,000 patients, easing pressure on existing hospital infrastructure and reducing the need for lengthy travel to access medical services.
Covering an impressive 11,170 square meters, with 7,692 square meters of covered area, the Lissasfa Center will offer a comprehensive range of medical services, including outpatient consultations, functional explorations, rehabilitation, dental care, and emergency units. Moreover, the facility will house primary healthcare units, radiology services, obstetrics, sterilization facilities, an operating theater, a medical laboratory, a 13-room hospitalization ward, a pharmacy, and a kitchen – all under one roof.
Simultaneously, the launch of the second phase of the Connected Mobile Medical Units program heralds a new era in healthcare accessibility for remote and underserved communities. This innovative initiative, a joint endeavor between the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, aims to establish a network of twelve Neighborhood Medical Centers strategically situated across Morocco's major cities, including Casablanca, Fès, Tangier, Agadir, Marrakech, Rabat, Salé, and Témara.
Through these groundbreaking endeavors, His Majesty King Mohammed VI has once again underscored his unwavering commitment to national solidarity and healthcare reform, ensuring that every Moroccan, regardless of their geographic or socioeconomic circumstances, has access to quality medical care. As the nation embarks on this transformative journey, the Monarch's visionary leadership promises to pave the way for a healthier, more equitable future for all.
