The Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities has officially launched a call for applications to fill key leadership positions at the country’s Traffic and Vehicle Management Authority, known as Nefaa. This includes the roles of board chairman, director-general, and board members.

The announcement, made Tuesday, is part of broader reforms aimed at implementing a modern, merit-based recruitment system in public institutions, as outlined by decisions taken by the Lebanese Cabinet earlier this year.

According to the ministry’s statement, this initiative aligns with Decision No. 1 dated March 20, 2025, and its subsequent amendments on March 27 (Decision No. 24) and May 29 (Decision No. 32). Interested candidates can review detailed job descriptions, eligibility criteria, and required qualifications through the websites of the Ministry of Interior, the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR), and the Civil Service Council.

Applications must be submitted electronically via the dedicated platform https://seniorrecruit.omsar.gov.lb before August 5, 2025. The ministry emphasizes that all submissions will be treated confidentially and that only candidates who pass the initial evaluation phase will be invited to an oral interview.

This recruitment drive follows a 2023 anti-corruption investigation involving vehicle registration centers. That probe led to multiple arrests and charges, including against employees accused of accepting large bribes. Former director Hoda Salloum was among those arrested and later released on bail.
