Casablanca, October 22, 2025 — The Moroccan Employers’ Confederation (CGEM) welcomed on Monday Antonio Garamendi, president of Spain’s Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), in a symbolic visit aimed at strengthening economic ties between Morocco and Spain.

During a working session, both sides explored new ways to boost cross-investment, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises and high-value sectors such as tourism, automotive manufacturing, education, and technology.

The discussions also focused on preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal.

As part of this collaboration, the presidents of the CGEM, CEOE, and Portugal’s Business Confederation (CIP) agreed to establish a joint committee and organize a Business Forum in Rabat in early 2026. The initiative aims to deepen regional cooperation and maximize the economic benefits of the global sporting event.
