Morocco Gears Up for Monumental Homecoming Initiative
As the summer sun kisses the shores of the Mediterranean, Morocco prepares to roll out the red carpet for its cherished diaspora in an extraordinary annual tradition. The 2024 Marhaba Operation, a grand-scale endeavor orchestrated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, is poised to welcome home Moroccans residing abroad, marking its 24th consecutive year of uniting families and fostering cultural bonds.
From June 5th to September 15th, a meticulously coordinated reception system will spring into action across Morocco, France, Spain, and Italy, serving as a seamless platform for providing vital support and assistance to the nation's globe-trotting kin during their homecoming journeys.
At the heart of this monumental operation lie the foundation's 24 strategically positioned Marhaba reception sites within Morocco. These havens offer a comprehensive array of social assistance and medical care services, ensuring a smooth transition for returning Moroccans as they reconnect with their roots. From the bustling ports of Tangier Med, Tangier City, Al Hoceima, and Nador to the major airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat-Salé, and Marrakech Menara, these sites stand ready to embrace the influx of travelers with open arms.
Beyond Morocco's borders, the operation extends its reach with six dedicated Marhaba spaces established at key European ports, including Genoa in Italy, Sete and Marseille in France, and Motril, Almeria, and Algeciras in Spain. This strategic positioning ensures a seamless experience for Moroccans embarking on their journey homeward.
Orchestrating this colossal undertaking is the Central Coordination Bureau (CCB), headquartered in Rabat and operating under the watchful eye of the foundation. This command center serves as the nerve center, providing around-the-clock Marhaba telephone support, monitoring operational activities, and ensuring a swift response to any requests or concerns that may arise.
For Moroccans seeking assistance throughout their homecoming odyssey, the Marhaba call service stands at the ready, operating 24/7 with dedicated lines for both domestic and international callers. To ensure a seamless execution, the foundation has assembled a formidable team of 1400 personnel, each committed to making this homecoming a truly unforgettable experience.
As the countdown to this grand homecoming commences, Morocco prepares to embrace its global citizens with open arms, weaving a tapestry of cultural unity and celebrating the enduring bonds that transcend borders and oceans.
