Morocco: Pride of Africa in Futsal World
The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, praised Morocco's performance, highlighting its role in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and expressing confidence in its continued success. Motsepe, upon arriving at Rabat-Salé airport for the opening of the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), acknowledged Morocco's prominent role in African sports and its ability to host high-level events.
"We all know how much Morocco has made Africa proud in the Qatar World Cup. I am confident that Morocco will continue to make us proud," said Motsepe.
The CAF president thanked the Kingdom of Morocco for hosting the Futsal CAN, noting the country's capacity to successfully organize sports competitions, even as other African countries face infrastructure challenges.
Motsepe also praised the efforts of HM King Mohammed VI to promote football in Africa, highlighting Morocco's contribution to the development of sports facilities in other African countries.
The Futsal CAN-2024 will take place from April 11th to 21st in Rabat, with Morocco defending its title as the reigning champion.
