Morocco's Walid Regragui set to announce World Cup qualifier squad
Morocco’s national football coach, Walid Regragui, is poised to unveil his squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Friday, March 14. The announcement will take place during a press conference at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Sale, beginning at 11 a.m. local time. Fans can catch the live event on the FRMF’s YouTube channel.
Regragui’s selection will focus on preparing for the upcoming matches against Niger on March 21 and Tanzania on March 25. Both fixtures are scheduled to unfold at the Al-Chaab Stadium in Oujda, with kick-off set for 9:30 p.m.
Given that several key players are currently struggling with injuries, Regragui is expected to introduce fresh talent to the squad. Notable inclusions may feature Sami Mmaee and Omar El Hilali, especially since regulars Romain Saiss and Chadi Riad will be unavailable due to their respective injuries.
As anticipation builds, Moroccan football enthusiasts are eager to see how Regragui’s choices will reshape the national team's strategy in the qualifiers.
