Night guard arrested for kidnapping toddler in Casablanca
Casablanca police, in coordination with the Souk Sebt Oulad Nemma precinct, arrested a 38-year-old night guard on Monday, September 1, suspected of abducting a girl under two years old.
Initial investigations revealed that the child’s disappearance had been reported under suspicious circumstances. Authorities focused on the night guard due to his prior acquaintance with the family.
The coordinated police operation led to the arrest of the suspect in Souk Sebt Oulad Nemma, where the toddler was found unharmed, intended to be taken to the suspect’s hometown.
The suspect is now in police custody under the supervision of the King’s Public Prosecutor near the Court of Appeal. Investigators from the regional criminal police brigade in Casablanca are working to determine the motives behind this criminal act and clarify all circumstances surrounding the case.
