Rainfall boosts grain production to 4.4 million tonnes
According to WalaW, a digital news platform, the recent presentation by Ahmed El Bouari, Morocco's Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, was held this morning at the Grand Auditorium of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Meknes.
Minister El Bouari announced that the latest rainfall will enable the production of 44 million quintals of grain (equivalent to 4.4 million tonnes). He emphasized that this annual exhibition has become a key event within Morocco's agricultural framework.
In his opening remarks, El Bouari highlighted that the exhibition serves as both a national and international platform for stakeholders in the agricultural sector to engage, establish partnerships, and strengthen cooperation. He underlined the importance of the event in shedding light on sectoral developments and challenges while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Special emphasis, he noted, is being placed on supporting farmers and rural communities.
