Saudi Arabia Sets Deadlines for Umrah Pilgrims' Entry and Departure

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has announced that the final date for Umrah pilgrims to enter the Kingdom is 13 April 2025, corresponding to the 15th of Shawwal 1446H. Additionally, the deadline for all pilgrims to depart is 29 April 2025, which aligns with the 1st of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1446H. This decision aims to regulate the flow of visitors and complete the logistical preparations for the Hajj season.

In an official statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Ministry emphasized that remaining in the Kingdom after the departure deadline will be considered a violation of the established regulations, subjecting violators to strict legal penalties. The Ministry further stressed the importance of complying with these deadlines, urging both pilgrims and Umrah companies to adhere to the schedule. Delays will result in severe legal actions.

The Ministry also pointed out that companies failing to report any delays in the departure of pilgrims may face financial fines of up to 100,000 Saudi Riyals. These fines will increase based on the number of violators who fail to leave within the specified time frame. Legal measures will also be applied to individuals or entities responsible for such violations.

These actions are part of the Kingdom’s efforts to ensure a well-organized Hajj season, guaranteeing the safety of visitors and facilitating their services, especially during the high pressure period between the end of the Umrah season and the start of Hajj.

The Ministry called on Umrah pilgrims to act responsibly, be aware of the regulations, and follow the Saudi authorities' guidelines to ensure the success of the season and provide the best services for the guests of the Most Merciful.
