Serial burglaries in eastern Morocco: suspect arrested in Berkane
Authorities in eastern Morocco have apprehended a 32-year-old man suspected of involvement in a series of burglaries targeting money transfer agencies. The arrest took place in Berkane, where police identified him as a prime suspect in a break-in incident.
Security sources reported that the suspect, who has a prior criminal record, allegedly committed a robbery at a money transfer office in Berkane. Investigations suggest he may also be linked to two similar thefts in Zaïo and Oujda.
The suspect is currently under judicial investigation supervised by the relevant prosecutor’s office. Authorities continue to investigate the case and are searching for potential accomplices connected to these crimes.
