Shocking new revelations in the Ain Aouda incest case
The president of the sixth chamber of the Rabat Court of Appeal has ordered the preventive detention of the father at the center of the Ain Aouda incest case.
The father was imprisoned at Tamesna prison, while his daughter—who reportedly gave birth to several children from this incestuous relationship—was placed in the female wing of the same facility, according to the daily newspaper Assabah on Tuesday, August 26.
At the request of the King’s public prosecutor, the judge also entrusted the custody of a minor daughter to the Fès Child Protection Center to preserve her psychological well-being. She is suspected of having been sexually abused by her grandfather, who is also her biological father.
The eldest daughter of the main accused, aged 72, was prosecuted but allowed to remain free due to her health. She is accused of concealing the crimes committed by her husband and daughter.
According to Assabah, the accused daughter gave birth to six children between 2005 and 2010. Investigating judges are awaiting the results of genetic tests conducted by the Royal Gendarmerie laboratory in Rabat to establish the true paternity, as the mother reportedly had a relationship with another man from a tribe near Oued Zem.
Reports also indicate that the family lives in extreme socio-economic precarity.
