Tanger Med: Seizure of narcotics from a European port
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced on Saturday that a major drug smuggling attempt was foiled at the Tanger Med port. Authorities seized a shipment of 12,000 narcotic pills that had arrived from a European port.
According to the DGSN, the operation was carried out jointly by the National Police and Customs services. The coordinated intervention reflects Morocco’s efforts to combat international drug trafficking networks and strengthen port security.
Investigations have been launched to identify the individuals or groups behind the attempted smuggling, with the authorities reaffirming their determination to fight organized crime.
