British couple arrested in Spain for skipping cruise ship bill
Spanish police have apprehended a British couple accused of evading a cruise ship bill totaling €3,196. The arrests occurred on Wednesday at Ibiza's airport, mere hours after the pair allegedly fled from a docked cruise ship on the Mediterranean island without settling their onboard expenses.
The 23-year-old man and his 18-year-old companion reportedly disembarked in haste, pushing past other passengers while carrying their luggage. This hurried exit followed their refusal to pay for a series of charges accumulated during their cruise experience.
Crew members promptly notified the authorities, who successfully tracked the couple at the airport as they attempted to board a flight. Both individuals now face charges of fraud.
