Morockshow festival: A unique musical collaboration in Marrakech
The Morockshow Festival is set to shine on April 19, 2025, in Marrakech, showcasing an extraordinary musical collaboration between the renowned American jam band Umphrey’s McGee and Morocco's innovative Meteor Airlines. Umphrey’s McGee, hailing from South Bend, Indiana, has been a prominent figure in the music scene since 1997. Known for their adventurous improvisational style, the band seamlessly blends genres such as rock, funk, jazz, and metal. Meteor Airlines, established in 2016 in Tinghir, Morocco, is celebrated for its unique sound that combines contemporary rock with the rich heritage of Amazigh music. The band has gained recognition at major festivals, including Timitar and Visa for Music, and their international tours have introduced Moroccan rock to audiences across Europe.
