Climate Leadership Forum to Convene in Casablanca
The inaugural Casablanca Climate Leadership Forum (CCLF) will take place on November 23-24, bringing together business executives, academics, and civil society to address climate change challenges in Africa.
Organized by Morocco's ESCA Business School in partnership with the Business Schools for Climate Leadership Africa network, the forum aims to catalyze climate action by uniting stakeholders across sectors.
The CCLF kicks off with a Scientific Conference on November 23, where researchers will exchange innovative ideas and research related to sustainability.
The highlight of the event, the Stakeholders Forum on November 24, will facilitate an unprecedented multi-party dialogue. Government officials, private sector leaders, university deans, NGOs and youth activists will engage in solution-oriented discussions and explore strategic partnerships.
Notable speakers include Ahmed Reda Chami, president of Morocco’s Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Carole Megevand, World Bank Sustainable Development Director for the Maghreb, and IPCC Secretary General Abdalah Mokssit.
The forum will conclude with the unveiling of the Casablanca Call for Climate Action - a declaration outlining collaborative commitments to tackle Africa's climate challenges.
By uniting diverse climate leaders, the Casablanca Climate Leadership Forum aims to drive systemic change and catalyze a sustainable, resilient future across the continent.
