Mawazine festival lights up Rabat with a night of Moroccan and global stars
The Mawazin festival dazzles Rabat on Friday, June 27, with a vibrant lineup of Moroccan and international stars. With performances spread across the city’s renowned stages, the event offers a rich fusion of genres and cultures, making it a highlight of Morocco’s cultural calendar.
A celebration of diverse musical talent
The evening begins at 17:30 on the Chellah stage with Soukaina Fahsi, a rising star of Moroccan music, whose performance embodies the innovative spirit of the new wave. At 21:00, Saber Rebaï, a luminary of oriental music, will perform at the National Theatre Mohammed V, captivating audiences with his emotive artistry.
At 21:30, the OLM Souissi stage takes on an international tone with Moblack, delivering a dynamic performance. The festival’s energy peaks at 22:30 with multiple headline acts. Salif Keita, an iconic figure in world music, will perform at the Bouregreg stage, while Lost Frequencies, renowned for their global electronic sound, electrify the OLM Souissi stage.
Showcasing Moroccan artistry
The Nahda stage shines a spotlight on Moroccan talent with Boudchart’s captivating performance. Meanwhile, the Salé stage becomes a hub for local music with Daoudi, Morphine, and Samy Ray taking the stage at 22:30, each presenting their unique interpretation of Morocco’s rich musical heritage.
