Defining Military Service Eligibility in Morocco for 2024
A crucial meeting convened on Thursday by Morocco's Central Commission for Military Service Census to delineate vital criteria concerning compulsory military service eligibility for the current year.
The pivotal gathering, hosted in the kingdom's capital Rabat, outlined guidelines for compiling lists of Moroccan citizens deemed suitable for conscription under local laws in 2024, as per an official statement from the Interior Ministry.
Led by the President of the Court of Cassation's Chamber, the commission, appointed by the state, holds significant authority in establishing the minimum requirements for Moroccans to fulfill mandatory military census forms annually.
Their decisions are in line with directives from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco's Commander-in-Chief, who has called for preparations to integrate new conscripts by September 2024.
Officials disclosed that the 2024 military census process will officially commence on March 1 and conclude on April 29.
Males aged 19 to 25 meeting the qualifying criteria will receive notifications via local government offices, mandating them to complete forms online at www.tajnid.ma, failure to comply may result in penalties, cautioned the Interior Minister.
Upon central analysis of census data, official call-up orders for military service will be issued nationwide, categorized by precise age brackets and geographical locations.
