Yemen: Houthi military chief killed in Israeli airstrike
The military commander of Yemen’s Houthi rebels, General Mohammed al-Ghamari, has been killed in an Israeli airstrike, the Iran-backed group announced on Thursday, October 16, without providing further details.
In a statement released by the movement, the Houthis described al-Ghamari’s death as a “heroic martyrdom in the fight against the Israeli enemy.”
The general was one of the most senior figures in the Houthi military hierarchy and played a key role in the group’s coordination with Iran and its regional allies.
