French President Macron Invites King Mohammed VI to Paris Agricultural Exhibition
French President Emmanuel Macron has extended an invitation to King Mohammed VI to attend the Paris Agricultural Exhibition, which will be held from February 22 to March 2, according to Le Monde.
This invitation follows the growing bilateral ties between France and Morocco, particularly after France’s recognition of the sovereignty of Morocco over Moroccan Sahara, and Macron's official visit to Morocco last October.
The French exhibition organizers had previously announced that Morocco would be the focal point of this year's event. This is the first time in the history of the exhibition that a foreign country is being honored in such a way, with the theme dedicated to "foreign agriculture, a partner and friend of France," as stated by French Minister of Agriculture, Annie Genevard.
The source also noted that King Mohammed VI has yet to respond to the invitation. If the visit proceeds, it will mark his first official visit to France since 2018.
